Ten out of ten. I always order from here. Had a few issues when ordering. Mostly down to Deliveroo ect. Eating in for the first time. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.
One of my absolute breakfast places- mainly because of the build your own breakfast . Too many restaurants/brunch places have like the full English and get funny when you want to change a few things on it (which I always do) so having the option to choose from a long list of whatever you want is genuinely perfect. Food is lovely, staff very friendly, and good for brekky with friends as they easily do the bill separately. Been like 5 times and will keep coming back!
We usually love coming to eightea9 but left today feeling very disappointed. My girlfriend ordered ham eggs Benedict with extra avacado. The meal first come out with no hollandaise sauce, in which we had to ask. The ham was freezing on a warmish muffin and Luke warm egg. I ordered the 8 piece breakfast. I had luke warm bacon, had to ask for the hash browns. Considering we was the first customers I find it hard to understand how there were so many mistakes and the food wasn’t piping hot. Also, there was no check back on our food. My girlfriend didn’t eat any of the ham and left most of the rest, however the waitress didn’t seem to care about that. Surely if most of the food was untouched there might have been an issue. I went up to the counter to pay and still no question if the food or anything was ok but happy to take my money anyway! I usually always leave a tip having worked in restaurants for 10+ years, but on this occasion I just didn’t feel like it was justified.
I had heard great things about this restaurant and attempted to visit a week prior, but it was too crowded. After rescheduling for the following week and being unable to make a reservation, the restaurant agreed to hold a table for us at 11am. Despite this arrangement, we still had to wait in line for 15-20 minutes upon arrival. The "build your own breakfast" option included sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, and toast for about £10. Although slightly disappointed by the meal's resemblance to a Wetherspoons breakfast, it was still enjoyable.
