One of the best in the area The vibe: great outdoor seating! Cute for a date spot or with friends. I got to sit on the little patio and loved it!
Our relatives that live in Brevard come here regularly and love it, so they took us here our first night in town while visiting. We ordered the Garlic Frites to start and those hit the spot being perfectly crispy but not overwhelming with garlic, it was just right. For our entrees two of us had the Crab Risotto, which was very good, and two of us had the Crispy Flounder special which came with mashed potatoes asparagus, which was also delicious. The service was great as well. I loved the decor and they even did a cute job of adding some Halloween fun to the mix.
Service was the worst ever. Wait staff forgot us completely. Then shared kitchen lost order. Meanwhile every table in restaurant turned over. Asked for help and food came out 90 mins after ordered and was poorly prepared. Attempting to pay was shockingly worse. Another 40 Mins and their system is reportedly down. No clue how to manually charge. No offer to make amends. Every aspect of this meal was bad drinks arrived very late and were perspiring from sitting out un retrieved. Glasses smelled of dishwater. Food beyond late and poor quality. Server was evasive and finally threw our card back at us claiming dinner was on him... but that wasn't true either. In the mass confusion the restaurant charged my credit card twice. Go anywhere but here, anywhere. Grocery store, gas station, vending machine, leftovers. This place has rustic appearance but food and service are very low quality.
I 'll give them a second chance. Showed up to pick up a to go order and the line was out the door and crowded like sardines. I could not even see or move inside to find out if there was a place to pick up because the door was so crowded So I stood in the line until I got to the host stand. The host was fumbling with the reservations list for quite some time for a large family standing in the foyer taking up the entire space. There seemed to be confusion. Meanwhile the line continued to grow, lots of impatient kids. Tip to restaurant maybe have someone else walking the line taking names and checking in guests. By the time I got to the host stand he ran off to seat a family, who then got lost somehow, so he came back and then left and asked me to wait again so he could go find them and seat them. Then I saw him refilling water glasses and chatting with customers. Finally he came back and I told him I was there to pick up and he said oh, you didn 't have to wait in line, you can just go to the bar. I said right. I didn 't know that, there are no signs and I couldn 't even get in the door to ask someone. He said well obviously you didn 't know, because we don 't really make that clear. At least he owned that. He also apologized for how crazy it was. Granted it was a Friday night and it is the height of tourist season and the atmosphere is very cute, so it 's not surprising it is so busy. That part doesn 't bother me. Just poor crowd control. Just observing for a place that takes reservations, it seems they could be planning in advance for this. But good news The pizza we got was great! Cold by the time I got it, so we needed to reheat it at home. But I 'd eat it again or try their other menu items too.
Fabulous lunch. We each had the gazpacho. I had the portobello sandwich. Hubby had the romaine salad. All great.
