My parents visited from California and wanted their first Maine lobster roll. Got some mediocre ones at other places that were okay but nothing great. It made my parents question what was so great about the seafood here. After getting some here though they are still talking about it months later. The portions were huge too, couldn’t even finish and everyone was fighting over the leftovers later. My dad said the fried clams are good too. I’d recommend they offer customers a lemon wedge if they want it, but it’s probably also not traditional. Also forgot to ask for some so probably my fault. Hoping to go back again today. Great food and great service on the Penobscot River! The best lobster we have had in Maine was through this little shack overlooking the river. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and gave us the secret to the delicious and one of a kind cole slaw we'll never tell.
The food was really good. The place is very small, but what it lacks in size, makes it for the food. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Lobster
We were amazed! The haddock was so good! Little red shack along the river! Big glass window so you can experience the water while eating. Staff were wonderful and food came out very quick! You must try this place if you like haddock!
