Unfortunately, I was disappointed on both occasions. The Uber side door system is poorly thought out, with delivery drivers crowding the main dining area. Charging £1 for a blue cheese dip seemed excessive, and the garlic pizza bread, once a favorite, has shrunk in size and become tough. During my most recent visit, the staff were incredibly loud and inattentive, making unnecessary noise and neglecting to clear tables promptly. This lack of care for the customers' experience was unacceptable. It is disappointing to see the decline in quality at this restaurant.
My family and I came to this restaurant after shopping at McArthur Glen outlet. Despite it being a busy day, we received a warm welcome and were seated promptly. The menu had a good variety of options and we were given ample time to place our orders. The children were entertained with puzzle sheets and crayons. Our food took a bit longer to arrive due to the busy crowd, but it was worth the wait as it was delicious and served in generous portions. The food surpassed our expectations and the atmosphere was pleasant, with great service. We didn't feel rushed and would definitely return after our next shopping trip.
Arrived and were seated by friendly and helpful staff. Menu was not as extensive as it used to be but still plenty of choice. The children's menu in particular was extensive with a great choice. We ordered and the mains were served fairly quickly. No complaints with the food, was nice. We wanted to order dessert but had to ask for the menu and again to order. They also took a long time to be served. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere. Would probably visit again if shopping in the retail outlet but wouldn't go out of my way.
My partner and I visited Frankie and Benny’s, The Derwen Designer Outlet Village, Bridgend for lunch during a shopping trip. We were greeted promptly and shown to a table but we asked if we could be sat near a window which was fine. We ordered drinks my partner had a Diet Coke and I ordered a glass of Peroni which didn’t look or taste like Peroni? My partner had lasagne which was satisfactory but lacked any real meat content and I had the hot dog with fries which I enjoyed. The food is basically pub grub at probably the going rate and filled a little hole until we could get home for tea. We wouldn’t rush back to any Frankie and Benny’s again and were disappointed on the amount of quality eateries available at the Village Outlet.
Avoid at all costs. Food was terrible. Poor quality and overpriced. We had cooked breakfast and it was all overcooked. Black pudding was cremated to the point I could hardly cut it, sausages tough and bacon more fat than meat. Daughter had pancakes and they were also overcooked. Service was slow and drink options strange. Ordered a fresh mint tea expecting a herbal tea but it came as a cup of warm water with a few past their best mint leaves floating on top and a black tea bag on the side. We won't be returning.
