The bridge is actually the main point in the city. a beautiful picturesque location. And a good place to mention for a place to meet your travel partners. How to see on the bridge in 2 hours cant miss!!
Image Perfect Independence Architect The Independence Arch is located at the southern end of the Chamberlain Bridge in Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados. The Independence Arch was built in 1987 to make Barbados the 21st. to remember the anniversary of independence. Until independence was reached on 30 November 1966, Barbados was a British colony. The bow shows several aspects of Barbados heritage and culture. The columns show two important national symbols, the flying fish and pelican along with the Pride of Barbados flower. Above the top of the arch are the islands coats of arms with the national motto 'Pride and Industry'. At the bottom of the arc is the National Pedge. In November (the month of celebration of the independence of Barbados), the Independence Sheet is illuminated in the national colors of blue and gold.
On the pedestrian bridge that leads you to Bridgetown. Good view point to take photos. The tourist shops here are best to come.
They see this and can get a quick recognition as the Bajans see their history and heritage. It is still in good shape and the area is very clean (it extends along the docks side). Make yourself a very picturesque walk and a gentle way to see Bridgetown, the main shopping district and bus terminal is a stone's throw away.
Another great piece of Barbados' history. Perched the draw bridge of the picturesque Bridgetown Careenage and just steps away from many of the island's leading department stores. Great photo taking opportunity.
