Sandals Barbados - Bridgetown

The food and service were impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we felt special and prioritized as guests. I lost my purse one night, and they tirelessly worked to help me find it. A wonderful staff member named Desiree stayed with me the whole time to support me during my panic—she was fantastic! Both Desiree and the guest services manager checked in with us regularly throughout our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and were happy. I highly recommend the Rekindle package and the catamaran snorkel cruise—both were highlights of our trip! Also, don't miss out on visiting Captain Larry on the beach to book a 360° island tour. It's the perfect way to explore every corner of the island with a guide who shares the rich history and culture of Barbados. I can’t wait for our next visit!

Review of Sandals Royal Barbados: Sandals isn't inexpensive, especially after our disappointing experience at St. James' Club in Antigua during our wedding trip in 2021 (which I’ll review separately). However, we decided to give Sandals another chance, and spending a week at Sandals Royal Barbados was a delightful experience that far exceeded our expectations! We opted for a swim-up room, which was stunning. The pool water was a bit chilly, but that was a minor issue. The resort is large with plenty of activities available, and we primarily spent our time at the main pool, where all the excitement was happening. The food was generally quite good. We enjoyed a surf and turf dinner, although the lobster was slightly overcooked—it didn’t put a damper on our mood, though. My only complaint was with two bartenders at the main pool bar who seemed to underestimate my knowledge. I ordered a BBC and a Dirty Banana. I observed one bartender putting the ingredients for the BBC into the mixer and then pouring them into two glasses to hand to me. When I asked which was the Dirty Banana, he pointed to one of the glasses and claimed it was the BBC. These are clearly two different drinks! Did he really think I wouldn’t notice that two distinct cocktails could come from the same mixer simultaneously? It was quite baffling. Then he had the audacity to tell me that he was the bartender and knew how to make drinks, as if I should just accept it. Others nearby witnessed this interaction with disbelief. Aside from this small issue, the resort is absolutely fantastic! We even booked a trip to Grenada for 2023 while we were there. We can't wait!

A special thank you to Chef Leo at the Greenhouse Restaurant, who went above and beyond to prepare an exquisite, authentic Bajan meal for my wife and me. We were truly blown away by this experience. Thanks again, Chef Leo, for your incredible service! I also want to express my gratitude to Vanessa, our waitress for our private candlelit beach dinner. She was absolutely fantastic—professional, attentive, and courteous—a true asset to the entire Sandals team. Lastly, thanks to Brian at Butch's Chop House for the excellent service and food recommendations. This was a honeymoon experience we will cherish forever. Thank you once again!

In mid-August we had an excellent 10-year anniversary trip to Sandals Royal Barbados. Our butlers, Melissa, Nicola and Rachael, went beyond and beyond to help us to be appreciated and supervised during our weekly visit. We used some of the Island Routes tours so we could see that more of the island learn about rum and enjoyed these tours. We spent several pleasant afternoons on the rooftop pool and the South Seas pool. The Greenhouse was far and away our favorite breakfast and dinner, and the lunch salads at Heart Sol were refreshing. Butchs Steak Seafood and Chi were also delicious culinary experiences. And of course we had daily stops at Cafe de Paris for coffee and cookies. We were able to relax with a few massages and manicures/pedicures, and we appreciate the staff at Red Lane Spa, who helped to make experiences. Sandals is a great brand that offers guests a high quality service; we will continue to book with Sandals for future trips to the Caribbean! The beach was picturesque when a bit rough in the water, when we would have liked to see. The Sargassum grass was in the area, and we saw that the staff worked hard to clean it up daily.

We came here for our honeymoon and it was amazing and relaxing! We had a butler suite in a Rondoval which we would highly recommend. Having the butler gave us access to a lot of things and we never had to wait for dinners or food. They always reserved you spots at your favorite pool as well. The only thing we had issues with was the activities we booked before hand, I recommend waiting until you get there so you don't get overcharged and have to deal with it during a romantic getaway.
