I'm back.
Came here on a wet windy morning in the hope of coffee something light eating. only vegetable milk in the offer was soy literally the only vegan food offer was avocado on toast or a curry (which at 10.30 am I not really tasted) not even any cake. the avo on toast was ok, but overall I was disappointed if I had proposed otherwise in previous reviews to have zero choice?
This place is a fun mix of restaurant, meeting point, internetcafé and art gallery. I came quite late to lunch (3pm and it closes to 4) and the suppers were all sold out, which is always a good sign. among vegetarian and vegan sandwiches and panninis they also had a vegan and gluten-free tofu green curry and filled hollow leaves with rice, what I had, and it was delicious. at the moment the somerset art festival started and they used their gallery space for an interactive exhibition that I checked out after eating. everything in an interesting place and I would definitely return.
This relaxed and friendly caffe had many vegan options. the food was delicious, coffee was good, and the staff was nice.
This place is a sanctuary in Bridgwater, it is a media centre with a hive of activity going on behind the cafe doors and really friendly staff. The cafe itself is also an Internet cafe with really fast wifi and plays good music off vinyl. For a place without a full kitchen space the food is a good selection of curries and soups with a majority Vegan menu (if not then vegetarian) There are always community artists looking to get people involved in latest creative projects and in the summer you get locals playing chess out the front who are likely to invite you for a game if you're willing. On Tuesdays there is a public drop in where members of the public can use the studio for free and have access to technical and creative support while using film/photography equipment and have access to an iMac. Somerset Film who occupy the Engine Room also have lots of workshops and courses going on, so it's worth looking them up first to see if there is any projects you can get involved in if you want more than just veggie food and access to the net
