The Bridport Cafe

I recently dined at a cafe in Bridport and shared the Angry Bird Burger with my partner. This crispy fried chicken burger was not only big but also incredibly delicious, served with beer-battered fries. The portion was quite generous, and we both loved it. I also ordered a coffee, which was one of the best I’ve had in Tasmania to date. Thank you for a fulfilling and delightful lunch!

The coffee at this restaurant is fantastic! We sampled the soft shell crab burger and the scallop mornay. The crab burger was interesting, but if I order it again, I'd prefer the sweet jelly on the side. The mornay was exceptional; I definitely need to enjoy more scallops. It's a cozy spot perfect for relaxing with friends over coffee, a glass of wine, or a beer.

The Bridport Cafe, the most beloved spot in Bridport, serves up the best coffee on the coast. A key factor behind its popularity is the amazing Villeno Coffee sourced from Tasmania. The cafe boasts a modern and eclectic decor, showcasing unique artwork created from tea and coffee stains by a local artist. Its furniture strikes a balance between rustic and contemporary, complete with a cozy corner sofa for those wanting to unwind. The menu offers fresh and inventive dishes, including apricot and walnut rye fruit toast topped with honey and summer fruits, as well as smoked salmon paired with poached eggs, rocket, and hollandaise sauce. The coffee is truly the finest on the North East Coast. Guests can also enjoy outdoor seating in a covered Al Fresco area at street level. On Friday nights, the cafe transforms into a fine dining venue with live music, making reservations a must. We’ve already booked our table and can’t wait to go back!

What an outstanding burger experience! I stopped by Bridport for a quick visit and chose to dine at this lively little café. My partner and I were starving, so we both ordered the Angry Bird Burger, which is a crispy fried chicken burger. Let me tell you, it was enormous! A towering delight of chicken, bacon, and slaw—absolutely amazing! We both finished our burgers along with some delicious beer-battered fries. It's a hearty meal, even for me! The Bridport Cafe is a charming spot for breakfast and coffee in Bridport. When we arrived, it was completely empty, but by the time we finished, every table was occupied! The Eggs Benedict was delicious, served on a bagel, and the homemade baked beans were fantastic as well!
