We went there for a quick lunch in between our trains. The staff are good but they understand only German and not even little English. We had a chicken thigh, some rice, some gravy and a coffee. It Costed me 16 CHF. I dont know if i didnt understand some offers but i found it very expensive.
Both of Switzerland's major grocery chains (Migros and Coop) have their own brand of restaurant, and while offering similar fare at fixed prices all over the country, the atmosphere of each place can vary quite significantly depending on location, staff or space. This particular Migros restaurant is one of the smaller ones as far as seating is concerned, but nevertheless comfi with lots of windows, tables both inside and out on the sidewalk and a friendly and helpful staff. Also, it is only two minutes' walk from the train station which can be very practical. There is always a warm lunch menu as well as a buffet of meat stuffs, vegetables, salads and other sides to select from (you pay by weight), and of course you get coffees, soft drinks and a selection of cakes, sandwiches and sweets to eat in or take out.
We wanted something to eat and a warm drink we were disappointed that there was no fresh Bircher muesli in the restaurant so we went into the supermarket and got a pre made one, sadly there was only one left so we had to share. We also bought the croissants from the supermarket as it looked better than the ones in the restaurant. We got some coffee and hot chocolate in the restaurant which was all fine. Whist I was not expecting a major spread I was disdained of the lack of choice, particularly for vegetarians and not having freshly base butcher muesli in Switzerland seems like a cardinal sin!
