We hopped in here for their "all day breakfast" and enjoyed perfectly prepared soft poached eggs, very well presented on great bread, with fresh mushrooms on the side. Many cafes get eggs wrong and hard. "We don't do them like that here" we were told by an extremely pleasant chap who owns the place and provides great service. Coffee and tea was also good and after a time, we realised this was a vegetarian cafe run by vegans. We didn't miss bacon and sausage at all and had a relaxed, non greasy, very tasty meal. We'd go back there any time.
From the outside, the venue is very modern & clean. The vibe was a little stale inside so we sat outside. Upon reviewing the menu, we realised this was a vegan cafe giving limited options of food for non vegans. No Bacon was almost a walk out for us however we survived! Coffee was good. Staff were lovely and prices reasonably so overall was actually pretty good.
We really enjoyed our meal here. I talked about my GF & dairy allergy. He went out the back, talked to the chef and came up with a special meal for me. Potato gnocchi with mushroom and crisp potato skins. My husband had the big breakfast for lunch. It was the best meal we had in Bright in 3 days. Yum YUM
We enjoyed breakfast here along with a nice chat with the owner. The owner used to live in inner Melbourne and moved to Bright 5 years ago to start this café and he's done a great job. The interior is nice, spacious, bright and on trend. His coffee is really nice and he explained the blend/coffee and how he uses filtered water as it makes a difference to the overall taste - after the build up, yes it was a nice coffee. My husband had poached eggs on sour dough, whilst I tried the poached eggs with gluten free bread which was served with a potato rosti, beetroot puree, sautéed spinach and avocado - yum!
