Grow40 - Brighton

We chose Grow40 for a rare date night (aka we are tired, busy parents) and we were very happy with our choice. It's always a gamble when you don't get to go out that often! The food was not only delicious but innovative in taste combination. But a restaurant is nothing without its service and here they did well. They are friendly, professional and prompt. Perfect night out!

The restaurant is increasing its culinary ambition, with both successes and failures in their dishes. However, the service is inconsistent and quirky, with orders being taken in strange sequences and unusual mannerisms.

The service was a little slow but the restaurant offered good value for the price.

The food was excellent and the value for money was amazing. We had four courses, beer, wine, and whiskey for £50 per person including service. The service was excellent, even though it was a busy Friday night. I highly recommend this restaurant and I am certain we will return. Even my wife, who is very picky about food, enjoyed it. We have paid much more for meals at other places and were left disappointed.

Nice short and to the point menu. Good wine list. We had the soup of the day and the Pork. All very nice although the pork could do with some sauce. Banana parfait was also good.
