On recommendation of a family member who took a flight on the bai360, we have booked a table on the melrose. we chose both the hot fish plate that contains grilled hake, salmon cod and fried scampi, calamari and chips. the fish was well cooked and excellent tasting. we would have resigned to a visit. £15.95 per (plus 10% service fee.) the personal was friendly.
The melrose is located at the seafront of brighton, near the old west piers and opposite the british airways i360. it is just a mile of brighton train station to walk. we were the first customers through the door by five o'clock on Tuesday night and had a selection on tables. I decided to start oysters and shlit shoes, cooked kartoffels and mushy baptize for the main course. the oysters came from jersey and were most pleasant, supplemented by rugged. the skate wing was also really nice, although I couldn't finish the large amount of kartoffel! I had a nice bottle of sancerre, which was a great accompaniment to the seafoods. service was friendly and although the cost, including service, was a little expensive at over £115 for two, we really enjoyed eating and ambiente.
Always nice vegan options to see, but eating was pretty averaged. I had the vegan breakfast. would be good to see a vegan sausage and some cunning tofu!
Great place to relax at the sea, great coffee, great vegan food (the full vegan breakfast is great), really friendly staff and a beautiful place to be.
