Rude manager. Women with short ginger hair. Not welcomed, not polite. Do not even know how to work in a hospitality. Embarrassing.
Great service from Alex, who was very attentive. Food was nice, and the atmosphere where sat was also very nice.
After deciding to eat at the Waterfront my partner wanted pasta whilst I fancied French food. I gave in and we dined at Zizzi. Place was fairly busy despite all the virus fears and we were seated quickly so that was good. They do have a 3 course option for £19.95 which looked enticing but we eventually opted for just a main course and a glass of wine each. I ordered beef brisket and venison tagliatelle whilst my partner opted for the spaghetti Bolognese. Food came quick enough, served by an over enthusiastic waiter who grated cheese all over the place. Honestly though, the meals were dead ordinary. Not well seasoned, small portions with no semblance of any actual meat. My partner's Bolognese looked meaty enough but mine was lacking any protein whatsoever. To be honest I left the restaurant more hungry that when I went in. The bill came to £33 and although it wasn't a very bad meal it just left us disappointed and feeling like we didn't get value for money. The pizzas we saw at the next table seemed appetising enough and a decent size but the pasta dishes are just not enough to satisfy a normal persons hunger. Sorry Zizzi you just don't do it for me.
Food was okay, you get what you pay for. Waiter who served us, lots of tattoos- friendly and welcoming! But sadly couldn’t make up for his manager (apparently the general manager, Edita? who couldn’t have done less. Slowly pacing around, miserable look on her face, not caring about what’s going on, ignoring people at the door for five minutes and looking at our table and ignoring the fact plates had to be cleared. Shocking management. No one wonder why we saw the waiter rushed off his feet. No help from his ‘manager’.
