Cafe Venus - Brighton and Hove

This hidden gem is located just around the corner from us and we have visited for breakfast many times. The owner, Sini, is a delightful Iranian man and his team prepares the food fresh. The terrace has 2 large tables and 3 small tables, overlooking Western Road. The food is of good quality and reasonably priced. We enjoy sitting outside with our dog and having an English breakfast for less than £5. The coffee and tea are also quite good. Overall, it's a wonderful spot to watch the world go by and a popular destination for visitors from all over.

The portions at this restaurant are generous for the price. I had breakfast here recently and my girlfriend ordered the Scrambled Eggs with Salmon. They were very generous with the salmon. The coffee could have been stronger. I wasn't a fan of the Hollandaise Sauce, which seemed to be from a carton, but overall, it was a decent experience.

If you are in Brighton or Hove and need a nearby cafe for a coffee or a complete English breakfast remember this small coffee place, unpretentious but cozy, with a very good service.I come here every morning when I visit Brighton in January with students from Argentina!

I often come here for late breakfast at the weekends. The owner and staff are friendly and easy to talk to. You're always made to feel welcome, and the food itself is delicious.I especially recommend any of their omelettes, I've yet to have one from there that wasn't made to perfection for me. There is a bacon, cheese and mushroom omelette for example which honestly does hit the 5th star for me.The only problem they face is that it's a popular place that gets full quickly so it's not always possible to get a seat but we find the owner will often offer drinks while you wait for a table to free up so rarely an issue.

"I went to Cafe Venus with a group of friends when we were feeling hungry. One of my friends recommended the cafe as it was close by and he had been there before. We all decided to order the breakfast, which was a great deal at only five pounds for a full English. I have to say, it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The person at the cash register was very friendly and polite, and the cafe was clean and well-organized. I will definitely be returning!"
