Mascara - Brighton and Hove

Delightful tapas. We had a nice variety of dishes, and staff was very attentive to gluten intolerance of one of our party. We especially enjoyed the tortillas espanol and baked mozzarella aubergine, as well as the garlic mushrooms and patatas brava.

We were eager to try a newly opened restaurant in Brighton Hove and we had the opportunity last Sunday evening. The first contact was by telephone when we called to make the reservation. The member of staff was super friendly, high energy and very accommodating. Upon arrival, first impressions were good. The decor is pleasant. The only negative was a TV displaying sports not my cuppa tea at all! I guess the intent is to make it a casual dining experience. The staff were busy yet attentive. I am gluten free and they were very good at pointing out the dishes I could eat. The menu is lovely a decent selection of tapas dishes. Our party of 3 didn’t hold back, we selected 3 items each. All were tasty, well presented and the portion sizes are generous. Our favourite was the lamb Tagine which was absolutely delicious! Compliments to the chef. We will be going back to this very nice Tapas restaurant.

Everything here is to perfection. The food, the tea, the service, the atmosphere A brilliant place and definitely recommend !

Ate here with my a partner during our weekend break to Brighton. What can I say, other than mouthwatering. Our vegetarian meze for 2 as a starter was amazing, full of taste! Just when we didn't think it couldn't get any better, out came our mains! They were mouthwateringly good, the lamb in my babsa bel l'ham was so tender and full of flavour. The service was great, with a big shoutout to the older lady who served us, she was great! The restaurant has an intimate North African feel to it, shown by the decor, low tables and low chairs. Would recommend and will definitely return!

The best meal i have ever eaten. Great selection of vegan and veggie food, lovely atmosphere, cannot say a bad word about it! Friendly staff and great service
