Had the house soup and beetroot, lentil and mushroom wellington which was nice enough but the soup was bland and the wellington was good but nothing I would particularly recommend. On the bright side the head chef asked how both my friend and I found the food and you could tell he listened! He said he is the new head chef and is going to change the menu soon and offered us a complimentary dessert next time we stop by on the house- as my friend’s (non-vegan) meal was refunded as it left a lot to be desired. Overall wouldn’t go again but the staff were lovely and would rate the food a 6-6.5/10.
Went for lunch and very pleasantly surprised by the vegan options, quality of food, friendly staff and live jazz to boot. Brilliant afternoon
Really good lunch with nice little beer garden, good range of vegan options but meat eaters also enjoyed!
So many great, homemade vegan options at this pub. The Sunday roast is unbeatable complete with vegan Yorkshire pudding. They even make their own vegan creme brulee. The main menu also has plenty of classic options made perfectly, the homemade vegan chorizo burger is delicious.
Lovely place with lots of atmosphere. Good food and friendly service. Dogs welcome.
