We had a oemon curd cream tea at this cosy place and it was a great experience. Everything homemade, fresh.
Serves a simple traditional menu (nothing adventurous), inside is small with busy decor, very much trying to step back several decades (music to match). The simple food was pleasant, the pot of tea was generous and served in old fashioned mismatched china (which I liked).
Fantastic lunch and tea spot. Wonderful fast and courteous service. We ate fish and chips and baked potatoes with baked beans and thoroughly enjoyed. We did not have room for the scrumptious looking scones and tea cakes but will definitely be back soon to enjoy. It was a rainy and cold day and the fire was warmly lit which made the place so cozy.
Food was poor. The fish was boil in the bag and the French stick with the ploughman’s had been reheated The waitress with long dark hair was trying to get as much money as possible out of people for tips. We were overcharged on our bill but didn’t realise until after we left. Definitely would not recommend or go back
