El Lugar Restaurant and Bar

Amazing location right at La Punta, you feel immediately at home cause the staff and owners are very friendly and take the time to have a chat with you at the bar.

Great food at a decent price. They serve a good glass of wine as well as the coldest beer. Sue and Gus are very welcoming and personable which adds to the overall dining experience. If you go, you have to try the homemade meat pies!

My brother and I visited Puerto Escondido to meet up for a surf trip. We are both from Australia but had both been living overseas. The location is great, right across the road from the La Punta break. I took a private room out the back, which was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and the food was great. I def recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice and chilled place to stay.

We walked in to pick up something for lunch on Sunday, they where super friendly and it was not only nicely priced but one of the best Quesadillas I've ever had.

Had an amazing stay at El Lugar, was a highlight of my entire Mexico trip.Great location, on the beach.Great food and coldest of beers.Best of all , Sue and Gus are the greatest hosts you could imagine.I look forward to coming back :)
