Missed this cafe yesterday due to the fact that I was too early. Revisited this morning. When I opened the door, I was greeted by the friendly couple who should be the owners of this lovely cafe. Ordered the flat white and a Ham, Tomato, Cheese Toasties. Di Bella coffee was on the table very quick. I was impressed by the strong aroma from the coffee, which told me the strength should be right. First sip pumped my caffeine level at once, good job! Next to the table was the toasties, they are so clever to spread some cheese on top of the bread so the effect was the same as the impressive cheese toast that I had at the Sizzler. However, this toasties was even better with juicy ham and tomatoes sandwiched in between the bread. Love this toasties, well done!
Amazing coffee! Great service! Very substantial and delicious dishes! A hidden gem in the heart of Wavell. Make the effort to go, it’s definitely worth it.
Came here for a lunch with the hubby on a Tuesday. I ordered the club sandwich and hubby ordered the crispy chicken burger. Both meals arrived quickly after ordering and were both very generous and delicious. I would love to come back and try their breakfast offerings.
After having one of the worst week 's of my life I thought I would try something new! There I was, driving down Rode Road, figuring out where I am headed with life... When suddenly there I was, blinded! Craig and Krystal 's Purple sign was like a mirage in the distance... I knew what I had to do... I was destined to find their lovely, Jazz filled cafe! Immediately; my foot on the accelerator I took the last parking space on the road.. FATE<br/ <br/ After waltzing on down, there I was... Greeted by Craig and Krystal 's warm smiling faces and welcoming hello 's, I knew it was time. Time to dine! As I sat and perused the menu my heart found it 's calling, 'Egg 's Benedict '. With incredible haste and no sign of hesitation, Krystal was at the ready with her pencil and paper... 'What can I get for you today? ' <br/ <br/ 'Just a Bacon benny and coffee thanks! '<br/ <br/ With a smile and a swift turn of her heel, she was off! My order was placed and I could hear the hissing of the coffee machine and the smell of delicious bacon wafting throughout the atmosphere.<br/ <br/ Moments later, I laid eyes on what was the brightest thing in my life at the time... With the Hollandaise glistening in the light filled room and the Turkish bread crisped to perfection; to my bitey surprise I was 'blown away ' by the layer of rocket and to top it all off, two, supple round eggs poached to perfection. <br/ <br/ Such a great experience and I didn 't even have to break the bank, I would definitely recommend Cafe Lacuna to all friends and family. 5/5 Stars.
