These burgers just don't compete. There is a weird taste in the beef patties. Whatever they add to their patties is wrong. Anyway, service is slow and this franchise doesn't use gloves when making your food. I ordered when it was quiet and the cook I guess just presumed it was ok to make my burger with no gloves (in between he scratched his hair, was opening and closing drawers and fridges and wiping his hands on a dirty apron). No thanks! I can't imaging those aprons being washed daily or the staff sanitising the drawer and door handles. Thankfully, they gave me a refund. I am thankful for the refund, but it has completely turned me off.
We came here as a group of friends one Sunday night. The place was empty but had loud music playing. The service was quite fast and the burgers and tacos were great, although the quinoa salad was really oily and the prawns were obviously frozen. I'm not sure that we would come back as the wasn't anything to write home about so to speak.
Last night hubby and I went out in search of late night post boozy burgers. We stopped by at another joint in the valley at 9:45 only to be told their kitchen was closed (an hour & fifteen minutes early). So we went back to Chur burger which is open until 12 and is always happy to serve. I ordered the special "Childish Lambino" and it was fresh tasty and the perfect size. Hubby ordered the Chur Beast, double meat, double cheese and double bacon *heavy breathing*! He tried but didn't conquer it all but boy it was tasty (stole a bite or 4). Chips with chilli seasoning and aioli on point as always and cold cider and beers on tap the perfect side! Staff we're so friendly and not bothered that we were more than a little ready for bed and on our last legs! Safe to say we're not interested in trying the other place and will keep coming back to Chur.
Tried the beef burger for the second time. Not a fan, just tastes likes a sloppy burger and undercooked beef patty. I think the chips were good. Don't get me started on the grease and overkill with sauce. Either way I was hungry and ate it. I think Grilld do a better job.
