Gopal's Pure Vegetarian - Brisbane

I love Dhal curry, so I tasted it at many different restaurants. I was not that impressed by dhal and another curry at Gopal restaurant. I may have tasted their potato dish or lasagna. Their sweets seemed good. We had passion fruit cake and mango lassi. They were good. I want to try different cakes next time. Above all, healthy, reasonable and guilt free.

This little restaurant is a must do Brisbane. The food is vegetarian and delicious. It's inexpensive and you leave feeling full. I get the rice with two dishes for $10 which is an absolute bargain. The home made drinks at $3 a glass for a regular is ridiculously cheap and delicious. Total bill $13 so honestly who could complain. The owner is delightful and the place is clean with no fancy overheads. Sit inside or outside and also takeaway options available. Parking is also free. Homemade desserts and protein balls are also on offer. I look forward to my visits here at Gopals.

My family regularly gets takeaway from here and sometimes have lunches on Saturdays for the Dosa. The family who owns the place are friendly, always able to pickup the conversation we were having on the last visit. The food is all vegetarian of the Hari Krishna style though no religious dogma is evident. The food is delicious. The gopal feast is good value with two types of curries, rice, two pakoras, two papadums, salad, desert and the choice of two drinks, $15 I think it is or around that price. The dosa for lunch on Saturdays are excellent. It’s hard to find good quality food that’s healthy and inexpensive these days, this is one of those places.

I am not a vegetarian but I regularly eat here. I love the gopals box which is a good value 3 course meal in a box. Recommended dishes are the potato curry, the mint and ginger drink, and the berry crumble for desert.

I love Gopal's vegetarian food and I'm not vegetarian but their curries are amazing. We've catered with their food at work a few times and every time, it is outstanding. Go back time and time again.
