Staff tend to be friendly enough. Just next to campus gym so for a post-workout feed. Only metres away from Boost Juice so can get a nutritious and refreshing fruit drink to go with your Mexican meal.
We dined at their restaurants in Fortitude Valley and in Southbank and the food was consistently excellent. We recommend their nachos, burrito bowls and enchiladas. Don't be put off by the fact they serve their drinks in plastic cups. The margaritas might be the best in Brisbane.
When a girl has a craving for tacos or a corn tortilla, the options in the CBD can normally leave me a mite cold. G&G is a staple in parts of Brisbane, the place you drop by knowing you're bound to get a great heap of rice and a burrito the size of your forearm in record time. Guzman really fits somewhere between Chipotle and Qdoba, for American touchstones. A small army waits behind a glossy counter, using assembly line precision to construct your favourite Mexican meals. Want a burrito with brown rice, red beans, and more tomatoes than you can shake a stick at? It'll be yours in a matter of minutes, smoothly handled even at peak lunch hours. The staff have tortilla folding down to an origami art form and I wish I could say the same! Alas, at my house, it's lucky that one side stays together and the contents do not spill out completely from an unexpected breach. I do not have the talents of these skillful employees. And they are a cheery bunch, happy to add extra guacamole and cater to your particular tastes and needs. Portions do not stint in the least! Come in hungry, and expect to leave possibly a bit too full. They serve with a generous hand, great after a day of walking from one corner of the CBD to the other. Portions are sometimes better split between two people. There is definite value for the money. As for the flavour and authenticity, be prepared for a meal made for a palate that dislikes spice. If you care for lots of flavour, go for the hot/spicy varieties of salsa and the rest. Otherwise the flavour is distinctly lots of tomato and indistinct blends. I prefer a heavy tick on the needle of flavour, and G&G doesn't quite hit it for me. For fast food, it's not bad, but I need a little more to really satisfy my palate.
They have great fast food of good quality, they also have vegan burritos. The environment in the establishment is comfortable and welcoming
