McMahons Restaurant - Brisbane

During our stay at Quat West, we decided to dine at their restaurant before going out for the evening. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions, quality, and value for money of the meals.

We visited McMahons during our stay and had dinner as well as two breakfasts. The dinner was excellent - I had the steak and my wife had the pasta, both dishes were cooked perfectly by the chef. The table service was satisfactory. However, for both breakfasts, we had to wait nearly 20 minutes before our order was taken, and it seemed like the table staff were not attentive to their guests. We noticed a lot of room service trolleys in operation, but there was not much activity in the restaurant which made us think that room service was a higher priority, possibly leading to an overload on the staff. The food was delicious, but the table service was lacking. Additionally, on three occasions I presented my Accor Plus card for a discount, but the staff forgot to apply it each time, so it's advisable to double-check.

The four of us had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, the service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. We all left feeling satisfied and impressed with the overall experience. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal.

Came here for high tea to celebrate a family member's birthday and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive. The only possible negative is the lack of parking available for guests dining in the restaurant but not staying in house.

Waitress was friendly and accommodating but that was the only saving grace. Ordered a 200g filet medium rare and got a 150g well done filet. My husband wanted medium rare as well, and his ribeye was blue. If they were busy I'd understand somewhat, but there were only two tables to cook for so shouldn't be difficult to get it right. Our entrees scallops with prawns was cold too. I'd avoid this one, despite the garden views. Not worth it. We provided honest feedback on the poor meal and was grated with a complimentary beverage. Again the waitress was its only saving grace. Now part of The Accor Group, I would have accepted more.
