Modern Hunter - Brisbane

Found this place after I had a meeting in the city. Guy that served me was really nice and made me a really good sandwich. Also the space was very cool.

When I tell people that Modern Hunter has the best pork belly in Brisbane, they tell me that's a pretty big call. Yes it is because there is some fierce competition from the many renowned fancy/expensive restaurants in Brisbane CBD. I promise you though, Modern Hunter has consistently perfect pork belly. Soft and tender, and crispy crackling on the edges. So tasty. It's only $15 and comes with up to 3 salads which are always very creative and full of exciting things! My favourite is the pear and walnut salad! Located in Gresham Lane off Queen St (or off Adelaide Street from the other side). You will be so thankful you read this review!

Great new little place tucked in Gresham Lane. Have really enjoyed the Chef's house made goodies like gin cured salmon and duck pie with his interesting ever-changing salads (crunchy legumes... surprisingly yum!). He also makes a serious ham & cheese toastie!

Definitely a must visit for lunch in Brisbane if you're wanting something with lots of textures and flavours. My favourite here is the Cajun chicken sandwich!
