Despite using a Groupon discount, we were both feeling unwell afterwards. In fact, I was in bed the entire next day. We may have just had bad luck, but we have decided we will never be returning to this restaurant. I had bought two vouchers, but after our unpleasant experience, I have reached out to Groupon to request a credit for the unused voucher. However, Groupon is now asking for photographic evidence and medical reports. This situation has made me hesitant to purchase from Groupon again in the future.
The food is delicious and reasonably priced! It's definitely worth coming back. The owner is a great person and even invited us to join their BBQ tonight for free!
This restaurant delivers on its promises, but there is nothing memorable that would make you want to return. The atmosphere and facilities are typical of a Southeast Asian cafe in the downtown area - simple. The food seems to be sourced from a nearby grocery store, but the prices are not justified. It's better to avoid this place and go to Billy Kart instead.
We stumbled across this little cafe in South Brisbane on a recent weekend stay in West End.My ever organised partner checked for Groupon deals for a Saturday breakfast and maps led us from the apartment to this little cafe, tucked away in the corner of a motel. We would never have come here on purpose. You can't tell a book from its cover, they say.It was just after opening time and we were the only diners. The waitress greeted us in a friendly manner and scanned our Groupon code. Then we sat under the shade of a large umbrella between some lovely stands of golden canes. It really had quite a surprisingly tropical feel.We were brought new spares and magazines to pass the time. I must say - a nice touch.Food was delicious- could not fault the eggs Benedict. A substantial meal on its own. We had just about finished when cake and cream appeared from nowhere - another lovely gesture (which my growing waistline did not require). Then, before the cake had gone a final salute to gluttony- melon pieces.I give this little cafe my highest recommendation- they certainly set out to please. Scrumptious food, lovely setting and service is a great combo. I do hope others stumble across it too. I'm sure you won't regret it.
Sorry but this place was not for me! I dragged my family from south bank to this restaurant after buying a deal from groupon and was very disappointed, it was a Friday night at 6pm and we had walked pass a number of restaurants full with nice atmospheres then we got to cafe Briz! It was empty, looked every cluttered and the table we sat at looked like the salt, pepper, drinking straws had been there for months. As we had a table booked!!! We sat down at the point we were given an awful, dirty, stained laminated menu. At this point we just looked at each other and decided we didn't want to eat hereStaff were lovely as we ordered a drink as we were so hot from walking from the south bank. Staff did have issues understanding us but they were nice and wasn't their fault really I have requested a refund from groupon
