Contribuisci feedbackAuthentic japanese ramen with thick broth. Highly recommended for ramen lovers. I will definitely come back here again.
Taro's ramen is authentic. That is really all that needs to be said. You could be in Tokyo from the taste but the decor there would be different) You go to Taro's for a quick bowl of authentic ramen
Ok im a huge Japan fan. So its nice to know that you can find Ramen that is close enough to feel like your sitting in a Ramen shop in Kyoto. The staff are always friendly and happy to help if you dont understand something .just remember one thing. They do make a cold ramen. This is not something that id suggest it really doesn't have the flavors that the hot Ramen does.Go reward your self and check it out.
Key take away: this place only does Ramen. There is no gyoza or other noodle varieties. It also only does Tonkotsu (pork broth) style. That said, the broth is thick and packed with flavour. Unfortunately the overall meal was let down by the noodles themselves, which I suspect are standard chinese noodles, not actual springy ramen noodles. The shop also has a decent range of Japanese beer as well as sake and umeshu. Asahi was going for $7.80. Basic ramen meal was $14.90.
First timer diner at Taro's new location at 480 queen St. Nice location and good service. Ramen broth, I felt was slightly lacking in flavour. Don't get me wrong it was delicious, just not as intense as some that I have had in other places. Would give it another go though. Would recommend ordering a side of something. We ordered gyoza. Next time I think I'd also order more char sui as it only came with one slice of meat
