Thai Budda - Brisbane

Genuine Thai cuisine! So much better than the disappointing option across South Bank (Siam Thai). Lunch specials begin at just $8.90. The Massaman Beef could use a bit more potatoes, but overall the service was friendly and efficient. It tends to get crowded around 1pm, so arrive early before the large groups do! I tried the Chicken Laksa for $14.90, and they served it with thick egg noodles instead of vermicelli. Next time, I will request a substitution. The soup was rich and creamy, delicious but very filling with those noodles.

The Thai food at this restaurant is fantastic! There is a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. I highly recommend trying the $10 Stir Fry with rice for lunch. The portion size and quality of the food are both excellent. This restaurant is better than others in the area that serve Thai cuisine.

We had a quick meal before a show and had read the comments, so didn't bother making a reservation. As we were the only guests, there was obviously no need for it. The food was really nice (had a couple of different stir-fry and coconut rice), the service was friendly and super fast as everything is pre-cut, so just a different sauce and meat and bobs your uncle. Probably more for lunch (opposite the convention centre and in the midst of higher education colleges and the like) or take away, we were in and out in 45 minutes.

Needed a quick dinner after a long day at the Convention Centre so I dropped into the Thai Budda for some take away. Eat in was an option here too. Service was excellent, meal very nice, price good too. Winner, winner Thai Penang dinner!
