The Bent Elbow - Brisbane

This is a great little hidden treasure just across the road from the Stones Corner Hotel.As I arrived on a Sunday night there was a band packing up - so obviously has live entertainment on weekend.Its a very relaxed atmosphere - and staff were very friendlythe food was fantastic and reasonably priced.

Great quaint stop. Excellent service and exceptional food, we stumbled across this bar/restaurant/pub on a lazy Sunday afternoon. There was a live band and great ambiance. As the name suggests their drinks selection was superb, with a feature being their vast array of boutique beers on tap. Staff were very helpful with recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

The staff were friendly and service was great. Upon ordering we were told many things were not available on the menu. After ordering half of us had to re decide as those things were not available either. When the food came out, one meal was delivered as an entree. This confused us. Then 15 mins later the rest of us got our food.. it was appalling food. The quality was disgraceful. Gordan Ramsay needs to fix it up. The spring rolls I could buy from coles and heat up myself there was nothing duck about them. The beef brisket my friend had was awful and there was more bread than content. Fried pumpkin scallops were just pastry. Potato and Leak soup was green when it should be a clear colour and it tasted awful. I have honestly never in my life had such terrible food which is why for the first time in my life I am writing a review.

I booked this place for a birthday dinner with some friends and family. Never been there but will definitely be back. All of our meals were great. The service was very attentive and atmosphere- What A Great Place. Please don't go here because I want to be able to get in when I go back. But seriously this is a gem hidden in plain sight. Double Thumbs Up.
