The Walrus Club - Brisbane

Cool vibe, but the cocktails are underwhelming with dull flavours.  I have had several cocktails here and all have been good, but none have had that brilliant/sharp/boozey punch that I expect from a well made cocktail. Could easily get 5 points if they add more booze, cut the mix, and shake for about 1/4 the time.

A long long time ago this was the dungeon of the Re-gretta. A hidden gem for the regulars who knew that this was the place to go if; 1. The line at main bar was too long 2. You wanted to have a poke 3. You had a hottie and needed a quiet corner for a make out sesh. 4. Back up toilets when all the girls wanted to look through the one way mirror urinal. 5. A nice place to vom. Now it's a series of dark nooks with no atmosphere, where it takes 20mins to get a drink because the bar tenders are so busy explaining the finer points of the 1000 rums they have on hand. Its ****. I wish the 2011 floods never happened simply because with the renovations they ruined the regatta and all that it was. Yeah my house flooded as well but I rebuilt and made it better not worse.

What a joint! Love the feel of this place! So many dark corners, totally the place for a first date and so much larger than what I expected! Some groovy tunes in the back ground. Ask for a Trinidad Sour and it will knock your socks off!

I like this place, it was quiet when we arrived early on a Thursday evening but still felt cosy. It has leather sofas, candles, bare brick walls with random photos. I ordered a drink that wasn't on the menu and the bartender had no issue with making me a delicious rum old fashioned. The selection of rums they carry is huge. It's a nice place with a nice relaxed atmosphere

A large but still cosy bar, with lots of nooks and crannies great for small groups or large. Cocktails are amazing, be prepared to wait for them though as they take time to make. A unique place well worth a visit.
