Cardigan Country Store - Bristol

This is a charming little spot. The donuts were delightful, but we were let down by the cake. Unfortunately, it had no flavor and was overly dense. It seemed to have too much cornstarch or flour, and the crust was dry. We ended up tossing it out! Cakes shouldn't require so much flour or cornstarch; the apples provide their own moisture. We make our own delicious cakes!

What a charming country house! The apple offerings are fantastic! The apple wine tastes just like what I remember from my childhood. And the raw milk yogurt? It's absolutely delicious!

Cool business and restaurant. You made fresh apple wine donations for us yesterday afternoon. On a autumn day nothing is like a warm, fresh donut. They also make beautiful looking apple cake. I haven't tried. Do I have to step myself????? Go and look at them.

We drove by it on our way to Sculpture Rock and saw the smokers outside. We decided to stop in when passing it for a 2nd time. What a great stop it turned out and timing was great since it was the 2nd to last day they were serving Smoked food. David was exceptionally nice and treated us to a couple taste samples and they were awesome. I do a lot of smoking myself so I have high expectations and they met them. The Brisket was amazing (what is even more amazing is how they keep it fresh and moist). We also got the pulled pork and it was just as good. I recommend the Mac N Cheese too. But the kicker is the Cider Slush, was great with the food. Adding some dark rum (sailor jerry) makes it a unique adult beverage.
