Cootie Brown's - Bristol

This restaurant is not very vegan-friendly. Although there are several vegetarian options, I had high hopes, but after requesting to remove the sauce, cheese, butter, and mayo, I ended up with a rather disappointing black bean burger served on a plain bun with no toppings or sauce. I did manage to find some ketchup, but the mustard contained honey. Overall, it's not an ideal choice for vegans, and I would recommend looking elsewhere. Unfortunately, this was the second restaurant we tried after the first one offered no options at all, so we settled here—despite the sticky tables and floors. The staff was somewhat helpful given the circumstances. I’m giving it two stars because at least I was able to eat something and the staff were nice. We really liked the food, atmosphere, and customer service, but we don't think we'll return. We appreciated the vibe, decor, and music. #Throwback

I tried four different veggie burgers and had the Spinach Basil Burger—it was delicious! The atmosphere of the place is charming too.

There are 4 different vegan burger options and vegan cheese to put on the pizza. I had the grilled veggie sandwich and my husband had the BBQ black bean burger. Both were tasty and exactly as described.

I’ve stopped at this spot twice while road tripping it’s got a lot of good veg options, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable about how to veganize dishes that were vegetarian. I’ve had their spinach burger (veganized) and enjoyed it. One thing that folks might want to know is that when I stopped here last week, I was told that the chips that come as sides with their burgers/sandwiches aren’t vegan. I completely spaced on asking why, but it’d be worth asking when ordering in case you’re vegetarian and they cook the chips in animal fat!
