We decided to eat at the venue to save time. 4 of our party were from Germany and had never been to Bristol before. 2 had never been to the UK before. 3 of us were served really quickly and the food was fine. Our German friends waited for a long time for their food. I asked the waiter about it and he said the gas had gone off so they had no hot food. I spoke to the supervisor who apologised and offered a refund. I said they should be offered food as they had been waiting and we were seeing the show so had no opportunity to eat elsewhere before the show. The supervisor said he would give them a muffin each. He then said he was not able to give them muffins but gave a full refund so the drinks were free. Someone should have told them as soon as there was a problem and offered an alternative. It was very embarrassing for those of us hoping to create a good impression of the UK. I will definitely not eat there again!
We visited Colston Street kitchen as we were attending a gig. The food sounded ok on the menu but we were shocked at the appauling portion sizes. We ordered two jambalaya and had less than one prawn between the two portions. The food was so poor for the price. Our table was not cleared from the last people despite other tables being cleaned and our food being brought over so eventually we did it ourselves. We were still hungry but wouldn't buy another thing from here as we felt we had wasted enough money. Such a disappointment as the location would have been perfect and it's appearance had suggested we would have a different experience.
Came here as we couldn't find anywhere else to eat due to a busy period a bit doubtful at first the menu is small the quality was amazing. So glad I never went to zazas Even the sea gulls eat here highly recommended.
Popped in for a quick coffee before the show. I'm a fan of regular black with a bit of sweetness. They have few flavoured coffee syrups, went for hazelnut one. That was VERY NICE experience. Coffee tasted and smelled so good. Staff super nice and attentive
Ate here before a concert as we didn’t want to wander around .. Should have wandered around !!! Not a vast menu so food should have been amazing it wasn’t . I had the jambalaya .. it sounded good on the menu but when it arrived it was a lump of over cooked , stodgy rice, with TWO small 10mm pieces of chicken , TWO small prawns, TWO small 10mm pieces of hard over cooked chorizo , and ZERO flavour . A microwave packet of rice would have tasted better and had better texture. I’ve given two stars because my wife liked her burger not exactly hard to get a burger wrong though is it ??
