After placing our order at the counter, we found a table to sit at. It took 10 minutes for our coffee to be served, and an additional 25 minutes before our sandwiches arrived. By that time, we had already finished our coffee. The sausage sandwich was okay, but unfortunately, they were out of pesto for the halloumi sandwich. The coffee was good, but the service was slow, the quality of the food was average, and the prices were expensive. Based on this experience, we do not plan on returning in the near future.
This cafe, located in the heart of the city, offers a great selection of snacks. The tuna melt was delicious, and there were plenty of tasty cold sandwiches to choose from. The cakes also caught my eye with their enticing appearance. The cafe had trendy furniture and a relaxed atmosphere.
This morning, we went to this restaurant for breakfast and I can confidently say that it was absolutely fantastic! I ordered the full breakfast and it was cooked to perfection. Even though it was busy, the service was excellent.
Recommended. I would argue that this is some of the best coffee in Bristol. The snag is the cafe is not that big (there are also now tables outside for use in good weather) and there is a limited number of comfy leather bench seats, so don't settle in for an extended stay. The food looks good/healthy though I never eat it.
This was ideal; if we have another opportunity we'll come again. Husband who can usually spot the cloud around any silver lining was happy as a clam with a huge cheese, tomato and pickle and other bits baguette type sandwich, and a variety of salads. I had a tortilla type slice with salads really tasty, colourful and looked like it was healthier than it probably was (such is life). And it would have been rude not to have cake, so we did. Chocolate and berry power ball for him (just because I thought it would be funny to give him what looked like a ball on a plate) and courgette and lime cake for me which was as a courgette cake should be, and I don't usually bother with cake. A bit of passionfruit in the cream cheese icing would have been nice but I'm being picky. If we can fit in another visit before the end of November (when the Marvin tax comes in), we definitely will. Well done, chaps. Great job, and thankyou. xx
