Agreeable updated clearly antique boozer in Greenbank, close to Easton. We enjoyed a terrific Sunday roast we chose the pork, which came with lots of delicious crackling, Yorkshire Pud etc. With cauliflower cheese, another main and plenty of booze (wine, **** Mary, Stout), the bill came to £89.04 for three. Nice friendly service, including bringing drinks to tables. Only slight negative: the canned music was a bit loud and intrusive.
Having visited on a couple of occasions I've always felt the owner and staff think of themselves as a cut above. Sure there are some nice (overpriced! local ales on offer but ultimately it is pretty bog standard in here. Much nicer, proper local pubs just a short walk away.
We had yet another amazing lunch time meal. Very tasty, well presented and plenty. Great value. £19 a head for three courses. The staff are all very pleasant and attentive. Will definitely return again soon. Thanks again
Had the pan fried haddock on a bed of leeks and crushed potatoes in a beautiful sauce. Rick Stein would have been proud to produce this but would have charged at least twice as much. Excellent. Thank you.
