Overall, a pleasant surprise. It is said to be a well-known local restaurant with a wine cellar. It offers plenty of space and is therefore suitable for larger events. Additionally, there is a garden. It fulfilled all expectations from a similar establishment focused mainly on beer and tasty snacks. We ordered from the lunch menu. The food arrived with a longer delay, the restaurant was full during lunchtime, but we didn't have to wait too long. They offer a variety of beers to choose from, and they were enjoyable. The pea soup had a slight smoky taste, which I liked. The burger with fries and steak with beans and potatoes followed. There wasn't much to criticize about the burger, it met expectations and was not dry or boring, but just average. The fries and bun could be improved, but I wouldn't expect that at a place with such specialization. The steak, at a higher price, came on a half-empty plate with beans and potatoes with a peculiar 'cottage cheese' sauce. The service was friendly and fast under the circumstances. The prices are fair, the food selection too, and there was even water with lemon on the table as part of the lunch menu, which is a common practice in similar establishments. Do teto restaurace jsem chodil hodne pred lety. Na tehdejsi pomery byla vyborna. Zkusil jsem lososa s ratatouille a bazalkovym kuskusem. Polevku cesnekovou. Polevka nebyla cesnekove vyrazna, coz mam rad. Byla lehka a chutna. Udelat dobry kuskus, tak aby se drobne testovinky nelepili, dela nekdy restauracim problem. Zde byl zvladnuty vyborne. Ryba byla, dalo by se rict standardni. Ani cerstve vytazena z vody, ani vyschla nebo zapachajici. Proste ok. Nejvic mne zajimalo ratatouille. I sami francouzi ho delaji ruzne. Zelenina byla udelana vytecne. Tak jsk ma byt. Cuketa pri skousnuti vystrikla stavu, cibulka jemne orestovana. Jen je skoda, ze se omacka nedelala z cerstvych rajcat, ale z protlaku nebo kecupu. Palive koreni do tohoto pokrmu taky nepatri. Velikym plusem je, ze Drevena ruze podava k obedum vodu s citronem zdarma. To se jen tak nevidi. Celkove jsem byl mile prekvapen, ze si restaurace drzi slusny standard. Mozna by to chtelo malinko posunout se jeste vys a byla by v Cernych polich vyborna restaurace, do ktere se vyplati zajit.

I have only been here once, I wanted to try it because this restaurant is owned by the same person as my favorite Železná Růže. The food is good, the staff is even better. Smoking and non-smoking seating available.

Dřevěnou Růži najdete na ulici Provazníkova v Černých polích. Taková pěkná (nejen) pivnice. Vevnitř je to v cihlo-dřevěném stylu, s jemným osvětlením. Super je, že je rozdělena na kuřáckou a nekuřáckou část....

Byla jsem tu většinou jen posedět a dát si pivo. Pivo mají dobré, výborné bylo medové. Jedla jsem tu jednou, když byly meníčka a polévka i svíčková se povedly. : V restauraci byla servírka moc příjemná, dole v pivnici se občas chvíli čeká.
