101 Dyckman Food Center - Broad Channel

My cousins were in town from Chicago and a large group of us went to La Parilla Dyckman Express for lunch. The food was authenic Dominican and I was very impressed with my food. I ordered rice and red beans, with rotisserie chicken. We ordered maduros and tostones for us all to share. To drink, I ordered Morir Sonando (Die Dreaming) which tastes like a creamsicle. It is truly dreamy. My chicken was juicy and had crispy skin and the beans had a great flavor. I will definitely eat here again.

Junot Díaz: Today I keep it simple. I have an avocado salad. A large serving of lettuce, tomato, cabbage, beets, and a glorious fan of sliced avocado flavored with little bit of vinegar and oil.

The food is good but that 's it! Service is horrible..servers at the counter ignore you and pretend you 're not there ..my family spends their money here as I refuse to give them business.
