Cafe Lafayette - Broad Channel

Great place for brunch and oh! the bakery (but you can't order from your table, you'll need to get on the sometimes very long line to make a purchase). Everything is delicious but the menu is not particularly extensive and not vegetarian friendly although the staff is happy to make alterations to a dish to accommodate a vegetarian. Love the room itself

The server was rather rude the entire meal. The food was excellent. The drinks were well done. But the server was slow, didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I'm not looking for service with a smile, but not even a polite attitude was there. Very disappointing.

Lovely outdoor seating. Food tasty and beautifully presented. Not rushed. Pretty trees around perimeter of outdoor area. An occasional fire engine whizzing past. This is NYC. I would recommend this restaurant. I come as often as possible. I'm never disappointed.

This was my first time back at Lafayette in quite some time, and I had fantastic experience. The beet salad was fresh and delicious. The Arctic char was prepared to perfection, and the profiteroles were amazing. My server Ashlyn was a star, and the entire staff took great care of me. I look forward to returning.

Everything was great as always. Just upsetting that you can't order anything from the bakery and the lines are extremely long and have to wait a long time. Had to drive to Rosetta's bakery . They should really re visit this ongoing policy.
