Des Ambassades - Broad Channel

It's with a sad heart that I write the next review. I was there from the opening day as I used to live next door but it didn't matter after I move an he away I still drove there for baguettes but this last time might have been my last time everything has changed including the smiles and the great baguettes nothing taste the same and the attitude of the workers is as tasteless as the goods they sale.

The International Maffe is delicious and used to come here all the time but today the woman serving us decided she wasn't going to serve us so told us there were no vegetables. At all. And sent us back out into the rain to find food. Maybe I should have come for lunch when the guy who is there is much more generous and willing to allow international diners in the door. Wish someone had warned me that I would not be welcome for dinner.

Solid halal restaurant. The food was alright in my opinion, but the portion sizes are excellent. Food took a while to come out, but we had a large group (would’ve expected the appetizers to come out first tho). The Ali Baba Burger was pretty good. The Lamb Dibi was fairly dry, even with the onion sauce. Looking back we would’ve tried something different. The hibiscus drink is interesting. Staff were great.

I was so excited to try this African restaurant, but I was very disappointed with the customer service, so the review is mostly for the customer service. The food was ok, I ordered the Dibi Lamb which was very tender and came with an amazing sauce but the person I went with ordered fish and vermicelli which was just ok. Such a nice spot with friendly people. Been ordering there for years now. Always great service. Ask for Yahya, shaved head dude. He's the best.
