Good reviews tempted me to give this bakery a go and gosh this place is a breakfast heaven. I had a pork bun in mind which most reviewers highly recommended. But I was lured by the display of pastries and I had the last minute change of mind. Got a custard bun and a small size milk tea, and paid a total of $2.2. What a friendly and insane price! The bun was warm and soft when I devoured at home, custard nicely melted inside. It wasn't overly sweet to my delight. Also a decent size for a breakfast. I look forward to trying seemingly everyone's-favorite bun and some savory menus. Sausage bun looked big and savory at less than $3. Am I in NYC? Also loved they had English menu along with Chinese everywhere. Sounds weird to praise, but you will see what I mean if you've been to the neighborhood. Anyway a no frills, very budget friendly Chinese bakery where you can get satisfactory breakfast goodies: sweet or savory.

Great buns! They were out of pork buns, but they recommended the big buns. I got two and were perfectly steamed and delicious. I will definitely go back and try some others.

Nice little place! Popped in to grab breakfast- a dozen assorted buns- for my friends while staying nearby, and while I only got to try the sugar donut thus far (tasty! everyone seemed to enjoy everything they had. For 1.10 a bun you can't go wrong, excellent value. The coffee was quite decent as well, even black, which is always nice. The woman working the register was very friendly, in a genuinely kind sort of way (I know that's a rather odd thing to say in a Yelp review but it took the edge off a rocky morning , and helpful as well. The help amounted to a couple of suggestions and tips for telling the buns apart without biting into them, nothing major but very much appreciated. It is cash only, and they don't have an ATM, but there are many scattered nearby, of course, so you'll make do. There was a small line as I pulled around the block on Sunday morning but it moved quickly and I waited almost no time at all. I'm leaving Brooklyn tonight but I would definitely go here again if I had the chance!

This is the ONLY bakery I would go to in the morning en route to work.
