This place is a true hidden gem. Never too busy, always a free table, cozy atmosphere, lots of specialties, real Italian food. It’s in my regular rotation for a reason. Five stars!
Overall decent Italian restaurant but nothing exceptional. They have a small selection of housemade pasta which is pretty solid, their fish dishes are a little weirdly put together, bread was a bit too hard. Wouldn’t go again given that there are better places in the city but no regret
Service was good, food came out pretty fast, and the pasta dishes were decent. However, the appetizers weren't great. Most noticeably, the shrimps weren't very fresh and has a slightly mushy texture. The ceasar salad was on the greasy side but lacks flavour.
No offense to this modest neighborhood Italian restaurant, but the 4.7 it holds at the time of this review is totally unfounded. The shrimp and beans (an appetizer) were significantly overcooked, with the beans exhibiting the texture of having been on high heat for far too long. Shrimp were not fresh. The caesar salad — recommended by the kind waiter despite being off menu — totally lacked flavor, with lifeless, sparse dressing. The rigatoni carbonara was the best dish, but still lacking. The lemon sauce spaghetti had no discernible lemon, really was more of a carbonara as well. The osso bucco was fair: a generous portion but layered with a heap of relatively flavorless tomato. The wait staff was modest and decent, no fault of theirs. This may be a good spot to drink quietly in a somewhat less trafficked corner of the city. But there is better pasta, gambino, and osso bucco elsewhere.
