Old Xi’an - Broad Channel

This place is very inconsistent. Sometimes the food is okay, other times not so much. Just ordered Stewed pork hand ripped noodles with extra meat. Guess what, there was NO meat. How do you forget to add the main ingredient to a dish. They prepare everything super fast, I guess they don’t do any quality control.

I passed by this place a bunch of times and it’s been on my list to check off. Love me some western Chinese hand pulled soup. I got the spicy beef. Came out pretty quick for a lunch hour. The broth is authentic. Tastes like they’ve been cooking it for hours. The beef was falling apart. I have a particular thing about the utensils I eat with and sorry to say the Togo spoons they have don’t give enough room for the best bite. I’ll prob be back for the cucumbers the lamb burger. Ordering was a breeze, just use the kiosks pay and then find a table to sit at. Noodles does not seem to be hand pulled, more like machine pressed. Nothing wrong, but nothing to write home about. Self serve water and napkins are available and you throw your own trash out. Easy dine in and out perfect for work lunches.
