Ootoya Chelsea - Broad Channel

I’ve had great experiences at the other Ootoya locations around the city however this location was a disappointment in terms of their service. Had to keep flagging down the server numerous times to check in with our food. It was a bit annoying considering other tables around us were getting their food. Our appetizer and main food ended up coming in together. Not only that but one of our appetizers, the karaage, did not come until the end of our meal and it was soggy upon arrival. Very slow, inattentive service and food was extremely slow to come out (had to ask twice where it was). Apparently our food was just sitting inside and weren’t delivered, so once the udon, kaarage, and shishito peppers finally came out, they were soggy and lukewarm. Dining time was March 18th at around 8pm

Food is delicious authentic japanese service is great

I had the steak ju, it was delicious. the staff are very professional

They gave me the bill again after I had already paid and tipped over 20%. So disrespectful! This is why you leave the bill on the table and don’t take it until the party leaves. Also disrespectful!
