Southern Girls Soul Food

Its been yrs since i ate here cause the food and service are not good so i tried to give it another shot and it was still disappointing that the food still sucks Collard greens taste like paper and I didn't even order them I ordered cabbage I'm from the back woods of the south and there's nothing southern about this place. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

CANNED FOOD !!! The food use to be soooo good. IDK what happened maybe they got new cooks but the food is not the same since moving to new location. Mac Cheese is disgusting. I won’t be back

I was disappointed. Being that they are in a new, bigger location, I wanted to support and I hoped the food was better now than it was before. So much for wishful thinking. They didn't have many sides even though it was 5pm on a Sunday evening. The takeout area staff lacked professionalism. They were hospitable, however one of the staff members was loud for no reason, but the bartender also needs a class in customer service and front line staff training. With all this happening BEFORE the food came out I hoped the food would make up for what the staff lacked. NO, not so. The yams were very good. Better than most yams I had at any restaurant. Mac and cheese was missing something. It just wasn't connecting. I'll give it a few years before go back.

Food was good but not worth the horrible very much UNPROFESSIONAL service, toody very much untrained staff to be a return customer. Seems to be a culture amongst the entire front staff to treat the customers as if they could care less if you come again.

I ordered two chicken dinners $17.50 a piece. The mac chesse was salty and the chicken was over cooked and the candy yams was good. Maybe they changed the cook when they moved to the new location in Queens (couple blocks from old location). I used to love this restaurant and didn't mine paying for the good food and service. But I was disappointed this time. It's very hard to find a good soul food restaurant these days.
