The French Workshop - Broad Channel

This shop continues to be the best French pastry in the Bayside, Whitestone, Douglaston, Little Neck areas. It competes with the best frennch shops from Manhattan. Not for those who love pastry full of/with cream, but for those who appreciate fine foods. I only wish we could prepay and reserve special cakes and pies in busy holidays as they fly off the shelves....

I’m not a big sweets guy because I find most pastries are way too sweet. The French Workshop strikes a great balance. They also offer a variety of breads, savory sandwiches, and amazing quiches. The coffee here is smooth, flavorful and not at all bitter. A good deal better than Martha’s country bakery in my opinion. Also a pleasant place to sit down and take a load off.

Good selection on display, roomy inside not crowded at all when seated, street parking when available

Huge variety, excellent quality, and delicious. I really love this place.

Never ate at the place itself but just yum. Really just good pastries.
