Van Leeuwen Ice Cream - Broad Channel

Tasty ice cream with a fast moving line and lots of seating (though not clean tables). There's also merchandise that you can buy (shirts and hats). This ice cream pairs really well with Magnolia Bakery if you are craving something cold and warm in one go (just down the street).

Overpriced and overrated. Staff is obnoxious, so are the customers. Music is so loud it is hard to hear other people. Ice cream is too sweet and too salty. Customer service is horrible, staff does not know how to talk to customers and mistreats you. The whole experience is snobbish. Never going back this place. Threw money in the garbage.

I tried Piña colada with oat milk, I think it should contains pineapple ?, bit the taste is not, it’s more like berry’s. It’s good

The place is always crowded as it’s very close to Time Square , which is always super busy area. The service was quite fast, but absolutely not friendly and the most important we did NOT like the ice cream at all. We got cookie and cream, cheesecake and pistachio. The worst was cheesecake and the best was pistachio. The ice cream is extremely sweet and when it got soft it was so watery.

Pretty good ice cream that is a bit overpriced. I would definitely come again for a quick and simple dessert, but I do think the classic flavors are a bit bland and overall the ice cream it’s just not priced right.
