Wow! The thick base pepperoni pizza was absolutely delicious. Never have I had a pizza so mouth watering! I am very impressed because for the amount you pay you get a really big pizza packed with flavour. Definitely will be back to try the rivonia branch.
Quite simple straight forward: Good pizzas at a good price, quickly efficiently.<br/ <br/ As with most franchises, you generally know what to expect, and here you definately get it.<br/ <br/ <br/ Try the Dunkers. Really good.<br/ <br/ Staff were friendly and efficient.<br/ <br/ This is a really tough market with loads of pizza joints around, but I believe they're right up there.<br/
With the entering of foreign brands of pizza into the Sa market I was curious to see how Pizza Hut faired against the more established brands. <br/ <br/ We headed to their Cedar Square branch on a Saturday night close to 9 and I was a bit surprised at the number of people waiting and enjoying their meal while the cafe next door sat barren. <br/ <br/ The outlet has three large led displays on which furnishes their menu and one to the side that is dedicated to order tracking letting you know exactly when your order is ready. <br/ <br/ Immediately you can see that branding is high on the agenda of Pizza Hut with all the decor thematically tied in , giving the outlet a polished and professional feel.<br/ <br/ Not feeling amazingly hungry I ordered a medium roasted veg and feta pizza, with a thick base the base the suggestion of the lady behind the counter. <br/ <br/ Within 10 minutes my name popped up on the order tracking screen and I went to collect without any hassles.<br/ <br/ Aesthetically the pizza looked good, the crust golden and crispy and the toppings roasted to perfection. With the only worrying aspect being the amount out oil stain that stained the box.<br/ <br/ The pizza was good, having chosen a variety of toppings that compliment one another it comes out as one of the few fast food vegetarian pizza I have had that does not come across like it is missing something. The tomato paste Pizza Hut uses is aromatic but not overbearing, leaving you with hints Italian spices, that compliment the toppings. The base was deeply delicious to my surprise , as it is often the case that thick bases are neglected in their cooking time or just come across as heavy. The base was crispy on the outside and cooked to perfection with the good sort of yeasty flavour . All in all it was a thoroughly good pizza.<br/ <br/ My only two criticisms of Pizza Hut would be :<br/ 1. The amount of oil that collected in the box I'm sure this is a necessary evil to get the base as crispy as they do. Although it is still a bit of an unwelcome sight.<br/ <br/ 2. Their price R70 for a medium pizza is a bit on the high side for a fast food joint, admittedly they do offer much cheaper option but none catering for vegetarians.<br/ <br/
Being a pizza luver of note...was most excited to see them back in SA. I grew up on pizza hut as they were the only pizza franchise in SA many many moons ago. and they do not disappoint!!!! the base as I remember it, delishus tomato base and fresh toppings. Full marks in my book for take away pizza. If u r a Romans fan do yourself a big favour and try Pizza Hut.
