Ye Old Buck Inn - Broadland

The meal we got was just warm.Turkey was formed. Beef was stringy.Batter Puddings was Soggy.Roast Potatoes wasnt good.We was all looking forward to our meal and disappointed when we got it. Chairs was highly stained!

I discovered this hidden gem while searching for somewhere to stay on the day of our trip to the Mid Norfolk Polar Express. The village is absolutely beautiful and the pub is lovely. I immediately wished we had booked two nights so we could enjoy it for longer and explore the area. Check-in and payment were all done online, so we simply picked up the keys at the bar and were shown to our room. It was warm and cozy, with the sofa bed already made up for the children. I must mention the bed - even though we have a king at home, the bed at this place was huge and incredibly comfortable. It felt like I had the whole bed to myself! The wet room bathroom was wonderful, smelling amazing and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and fluffy towels. Although we were leaving for the Polar Express early evening and couldn't have dinner there, we did have breakfast which was delicious. The kids enjoyed helping themselves to juice and cereal at the bar, and there was plenty of hot toast and butter. Our English breakfast was outstanding, with locally sourced sausages, bacon, and incredibly tasty scrambled eggs. We are grateful to everyone at the pub for our wonderful stay, it was truly special. My husband particularly enjoyed the winter beer and wished he had a wet dog sitting by his feet as he relaxed by the fire. This traditional English pub is a perfect example of its kind, and we will definitely be returning in the future.

We stayed at the hotel for two nights to visit The Polar Express. We arrived on Friday night and enjoyed a delicious meal at the restaurant. The food was of great quality and the staff were excellent. Our family room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The breakfast was good, although we wished there were more fruit and child-friendly cereal options. Overall, we were very pleased with the quality of our stay and would definitely return in the future.

Nice staff, a friendly welcome and the drinks were good. Having read all the reviews I had high hopes for the food but was a little underwhelmed unfortunately… Perhaps I chose the wrong thing

Great food, good variety and nicely presented. The main dining room was a bit chilly, but the main bar and seating area seemed cosier with more atmosphere
