I was there on a Tuesday for dinner and happy hour. Happy hour was nice with $5 martinis and $5 appetizers. Got the meatballs and the bruschetta both were delicious. We ordered a pizza off the menu which looked and tasted really good. They did forget to put my pizza order in so we sat drinking wine for about 40 minutes without food. They apologized and said they would take it off the bill, and never took it off the bill. The atmosphere, and the wine were all good so it wasn?t that big of a deal. Responding to owner No, they did not take it off the bill. I thought it was worth noting this happened. But we did end up getting the pizza after the long wait. It was delicious and cooked very well. I was not mad I had to pay for it, but a little disappointed about how it transpired. We will without question be back as I feel this was an honest mistake. And we were overall happy with the rest of the experience. Speaks volumes that you reached out so quickly! Thank you!
We have had tea at this tea room a few times now. We do have to plan ahead and make reservations for afternoon tea. It is so worth it for such delicate sandwiches and treats. Everything is so delicious and presented so beautifully. The chicken salad is beautifully seasoned with a wonderful texture of finely shredded chicken. The egg salad, nestled on a sweet roll, has the perfect amount of creaminess. For a real treat, she makes a Ukrainian cheese that is spread on a buttery croissant. But my favorite is the classic cucumber sandwich! It is so refreshing as the cucumbers are so very thinly sliced, layered on a lightly seasoned cream cheese spread. The magic is in how she spreads this on soft, white bread without disturbing its fluffiness, then layering two pieces, trimming the crusts to make two layered perfect triangles! The scones were perfectly baked to just the right amount of moistness with a hint of citrus. I forget what they were called, but she also made a delicious pastry filled with home made whipping cream, topped with raspberry jam! Amazing! The macarons are perfect! Soft cookies with such a thin crisp outer shell that doesn?t cause the cream to squirt right out when you take a bite into the lightly flavored cream! Well, until next time. If you do decide to go for tea, please take the time to enjoy each bite! You won?t be disappointed!
Took my nieces for their first high tea this past Friday at the Broadview Hts location. It was lovely for the most part. The tea we chose was scrumptious and the food items were very good although there were way more sweets than savory items on the tray. It's too bad that there is no choice at all in what you get on your tray. You get what you get, but luckily it was mostly all delicious. Our huge, huge, huge disappointment was with the Macaron! It was an awful, icky sweet fail. We could barely swallow the bite we took to taste it. Even my nieces could not eat it. The place is called the Macaron tea room the Macaron was the worst part of the experience. I did let the server know and she said she'd let the kitchen know she gave a weak apology and stated that sometimes the baker likes to experiment with new flavors. No offer to replace it with a different flavor or anything. I had a real problem with that and I did mention it again when we were standing at the bakery section looking at all the other Macarons in the case. I had fully intended on leaving there with at least two dozen Macarons (which would have cost me $76), but after no offer to make things right with my one small dislike, I left without spending another penny and unfortunately, I will not go back. I told the server that it was a huge business mistake for the owner not to make this right and make sure we were completely satisfied. Their high tea is $54/per person. That's expensive for tea and some tiny finger sandwiches and sample sized desserts plus a horrible Macaron. Obviously this owner has no interest in making sure the customers leave satisfied. Months ago, I couldn't get a reservation the week that I wanted. This day, the place was empty! Perhaps that's a sign of others having some satisfaction issues as well. I'll give them a 4 because the remainder of the tray was all good and the tea itself was delightful. The server was sweet and she was attentive.
This place is fantastic!!!! The filet is out of this world and so is the pizza ???????? I?d also recommend the stuffed Salmon. Tiramisu was divine!!!! Highly recommend checking this place out! They also have live music and a relaxing ambiance. They have live jazz music Wednesday nights.
