Amuse Bouche - Brockville

I've attended several functions here, from dinner to cocktails and reception. They do a lovely job of presentation and they seem to be trying to make their food interesting and delicious. I've found the food better then average with a few great surprises.

Went to find it ,excited about a new restaurant in Brockville..........sign on outside of building. Obviously they never opened or did not advertise . I usually try all new restaurants in the area as we have so few good ones

Across the street from the Holiday Inn, inside the convention centre, is a welcome change from the chain restaurants in this part of Brockville. The room is part of the convention centre, so the decor is typically banquet room, neither lovely nor offensive. My dining neighbour recommended the sesame crusted salmon. There is a good choice of starters and mains. I got the quinoa salad with veggies and chipotle ribs, which came with an excellent assortment of vegetables. Three red wines by the glass. Service is friendly. It's an unexpected treat.

Amuse Bouche astonished me. Living in Brockville, I hadn't heard of it. I found it on Trip Advisor and what a find! Hidden away at the Convention Centre, across from the Holiday Inn Express on Kent Blvd., I have driven by this gem countless times. My loss. From the moment of our arrival to our fond farewell from Hunter, everything was top notch. As mentioned in other reviews the room lacks ambience but the food…ah, the food is absolutely sumptuous. My husband & I opted to share the bourbon soaked gravlax appetizer with chive sour creme & fennel slaw with onion bagel chips. Delicious! For mains, I went with Coffee & Ancho Chilli braised Beef Short Ribs. Chef substituted the mash potatoes with his highly rated chevre stuffed roasted mini yukon golds, given we were on the clock & had to catch a train. I was NOT disappointed. My husband opted for 'Chef's Creation of the Day'. It was stuffed red pepper - choice of beef or chicken - he went with the beef. Seasoned to perfection, it was a flawless marriage of spiciness, zest and flavour. Sadly, no time for dessert but we'll definitely back another time to give them a try. Ontario wines & craft beers are available to accompany your meal. This place is truly, Brockville's best kept secret.

What a wonderful experience! Great food and Great service! Would definitely go back when in the area!
