Blue Haze Barbecue - Brokenhead

On Saturday, April 7th, at 5 pm for an early dinner, as we decided to take a trip to Beaujour from Winnipeg. Definitely a great place for fresh delicious BBQ. Recommend this little jewel of Spot. We shared the Saturday special Pitmaster with chicken, ribs, brisket, crabs, beans and potato salad. ..My favorite was the delicious beans! Everything else was also excellent! Including the service.

We were passing through town and stopped for lunch. My fiancee spent the entire time talking about good it was! He had the ribs and I had a specialty sandwich. The service was excellent and the food was even better. We're already looking forward to coming back!

I never actually got to taste the food, but I've heard wonderful things about it. However, it soon became clear that even small events for 100 guests or fewer might be too small for Blue Haze. I reached out via email in June and received a prompt response, which I was thrilled about! Unfortunately, I missed the one-day window to pay my deposit. After sending multiple emails (including one noting their busy season and the expected response time of 5 to 7 days), leaving two voicemails, and sending a text, I finally heard back on the 8th day—just 5 days before my event! To be honest, I expected better customer service; I should have received a phone call instead. I ended up securing my catering with another company shortly after, as they communicated effectively and I was able to confirm and pay my order within three business days. Blue Haze then emailed me the day after my event asking me to sign their contract. Oh dear. They definitely need to improve their staffing and communication management.

We had a fantastic lunch during our first visit! The staff was friendly, and all the sauces were incredibly tasty. We will definitely come back to explore more of their menu and pick up some of their intriguing frozen items to take home. Yum!

Stopped for lunch for two, and had the pulled pork sandwich and macaroni. Perfect spicy (unless you eat the hot pepper). Delish! Would go back. They even have take home vacuum packs of meat.
